ALFALFA PELLETS


Alfalfa Pellets


Green Meadows forage Alfalfa Pellets are palatable 1/4" pellets that are easy to feed and store. Onaverage most horses comfortably consume 2% oftheir body weight in dry forage per day. This equatesto 20 lbs. of dry forage per day for a 1000 lb. horse.Green Meadow Forage recommends that you weighthe proper amount. Green Meadow Forage alsorecommends that pelleted and cubed forage not bethe sole source of forage since feeding some longstemforage (hay) may help elimnate boredom andprevent stall vices.

Feed Green Meadows Alfalfa Pellets at a minimum rate of 1.5% of body weight per day. Green MeadowsAlfalfa Pellets is recommended to be fed wet, soakedin water for 30 minutes or until properly softened, forhorses that have dental problems or for horses thataggressively consume their feed.

Gradually replace existing hay with Green Meadows Alfalfa Pellets over a 7-10 day period. Replaceexisting hay on a 1 to 1 basis Green Meadows Alfalfa Pellets.
